Now that the weather has finally warmed up for spring, we are outside again and entertaining on the back patio. We were having a small get-together last week and since it is still too chilly to swim, I busted out this bad boy and floated it in the pool. My college-age son and all his friends were asking WHAT!! is that?!! They love to play golf and they were on this thing like flies on honey. They had a great time playing with it, and a couple of the dads joined in, too. They found it quite difficult to land a ball on the green (the dads did better than the college kids, but to be fair the dads are fairly serious golfers), but the difficulty is a good thing because the it sparked their competitiveness and they wanted to keep playing and playing. My son's friends even showed up again the next day to play some more.
The mat itself floats nicely and seems really well made. The set even came with 48 floating golfballs, which is such a generous number. It also comes with a rope so you can tether it in place, or you can leave the rope off and let the golfing green float wherever the current takes it.

This is a super fun floating golf green. It is Tons of fun & great for teaching kids. It is also great for making up games in the backyard. We ended up getting a bunch of different colored foam balls and made a challenge game out of it. The turf on the float is nice quality - good roll and drag on the ball - like real grass. It does not get smelly. The included balls are nice floating hard golf balls so be careful using them with excitable children - if one gets shanked it will break a window. Great gift. Fun for kids and adult golfers. Good size and not too heavy to take in and out of pool. Great for 2-4 players and very fun game.
Can substitute will real golf balls but then someone needs to fetch them in the pool (que our kids.. ha ha).
